A small coastal town until 15 years ago, Didim is on its way to become one of Turkey’s favourite tourists centres. As the capacities of holiday centres like Antalya, Belek, Bodrum, and Kusadasi are gradually filled up, Didim today rises among the favourite holiday areas.

The significant of the town increased further as it was declared by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2004 as “Zone for Preservation and Development of Tourism”. With this project it is also aimed that idle lands belonging to the state will be appointed for the benefit of investors.
The construction of golf courses are also included in this project. The fact that 4,000 hectares of Didim’s total area of 11,660 hectares belonging to the state leads to the conclusion that nearly one third of the total amount of land here is bout to be utilized.
This no less than a development that will attract the attentions of big investors. The New Marina with a capacity of 400 yachts also means a great deal for the future of tourism in Didim. The construction of the Marina of which completion is planned in two years time, along “Tourism City Project” that awaits to be put into force are inevitable means Didim leaps forward. It is necessary to point out that investors financing Didim are sure to collect a hefty return.
